The region is known as the South Hams and is an area of rolling hills and river valleys, dotted with small villages and hamlets that lie between the southern slopes of Dartmoor and the beaches of the South Devon coast.Torbay, known as the English Riviera, is only a short distance away.

The beauty of the River Dart is recognised throughout the world. Dittisham is situated at the widest part of the river where at high tide the water stretches for over a mile to Galmpton on the far shore.
The village is famous for its plum orchards and offers a fantastic base if you enjoy messing around on the water and the great out doors. Surrounded by rolling hills and ancient woodlands, it is ideally positioned to enjoy a host of activities, such as walking, sailing, bird watching and fishing. TESTIMONIALS
"A beautiful home away from home in a fantastic setting. It was wonderful for the children to be able to walk through the garden down the footpath to the Ham and the Quay without worrying about cars. So tranquil and relaxing but loads to do -  boat trips, sailing, beautiful beaches and crabbing on the pontoon. The highlight for us was a trip out to the mouth of the river where we sat amongst, what must have been 30 sunbathing seals – heaven! We will definitely be back to Middle Meadow"

"Can't wait to come back, too much to do and not enough time! We loved the house and the village. We could not keep the children off the pontoon crabbing and we loved the quay and the Ferry Boat Inn especially! We had some great days out at Blackpool sands and Dartmouth - loved all the galleries. But so lovely to come back to the house and that amazing view in the evening!"
